Systems such as the ADC Micro and its accompanying software, PixelWrench2, are ideally suited for capturing and analyzing multi-spectral images of crops, forests and other eco-systems. The camera has already proven its high performance in Europe for this task.
Multi-spectral imaging deals with several images at discrete and somewhat narrow bands. Being “discrete and somewhat narrow” is what distinguishes multi-spectral in the visible from color photography. A multi-spectral sensor may have many bands covering the spectrum from the visible to the long-wave infrared. Multispectral images do not produce the “spectrum” of an object.
